Biographies

Ian Lis, an associate with Tripp Scott, focuses his practice in the areas of finance and corporate transactions, commercial real estate, and creditors’ rights and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining the firm, Lis served as a certified legal intern with Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic. He also worked at Tripp Scott as a summer associate, applying legal research skills to various genres of law.

Lis holds a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he served as research editor of the University of Florida Entertainment Law Review. He also was a member of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy.

For his undergraduate studies, Lis attended the University of Florida Warrington College of Business and received a degree in business finance. Prior to attending law school, Lis managed a portfolio of rental properties for a publicly traded REIT. For the past two years, Lis has also served on the board of directors of his condo association.
