Why You Need a Will . . . Now! Once your new baby arrives, you might not be able to think beyond the next feeding, but creating a will is an important part of parenthood. Christine Yates, family lawyer and expectant mother from Tripp Scott, FL, understands why some parents hesitate. She stresses, however, that writing your will is not so much planning for death as planning for your lifetime. While wills plan for death, incapacity (temporary or permanent) is more common.
