Ian Lis, an associate with Tripp Scott, focuses his practice in the areas of finance and corporate transactions, commercial real estate, and entrepreneurial business services. Lis aids corporate clients in the structuring and successful completion of large scale financing arrangements, guides lenders through loan sales to third parties, facilitates commercial asset purchases and sales, and offers assistance to entrepreneurs in the areas of business formation, structuring and general legal compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Lis served as a certified legal intern with University of Florida Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic, worked at Tripp Scott as a summer associate, and managed a large portfolio of rental properties for a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust.
Lis holds a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he served as research editor of the University of Florida Entertainment Law Review and was a member of the Journal of Technology Law and Policy.
For his undergraduate studies, Lis attended the University of Florida Warrington College of Business where he received a Business Finance degree. For the past three years, Lis has also served on the board of directors of his condo association.
