Director

Douglas H. Reynolds Douglas H. Reynolds is a third-generation South Floridian and a director in our litigation department.  Over the past three decades, he has represented clients in more than 1,000 civil matters.  He focuses his practice on business litigation and marital and family law, in which areas he is certified by the Florida Bar. Reynolds has tried a multitude of jury and non-jury matters in both federal and state courts—and is equally adept practicing before appellate and trial courts.  Reynolds is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Prior to joining Tripp Scott, Reynolds was a partner in a large, international law firm and has spent many years in private practice.  The Florida Bar has certified Reynolds in two areas of law: Business Litigation and Marital & Family Law.  Certification is the highest level of recognition bestowed upon attorneys by The Florida Bar, and recognizes attorneys who are distinguished in specific areas of legal practice by virtue of their exceptional competency and depth of experience in those areas of law that are approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.  Additionally, Reynolds has served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, and has been a mediator in numerous civil proceedings.

Reynolds has held a myriad of leadership roles in the community.  Presently, he serves on the Board of Trustees of Pine Crest School.  He has served on the City of Fort Lauderdale Community Services Board, the City of Fort Lauderdale Marine Advisory Board, and was chairperson of the City of Fort Lauderdale Nuisance Abatement Board for six years. He has also served in various positions with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and School, including the Board of Trustees and the Vestry, where he has served as the chairman.

Reynolds holds a master’s of law from Emory University in addition to his law degree from that same institution.  He earned a bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Virginia.
