B. George Walker, an associate with Tripp Scott, focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, creditor's rights, and labor and employment law.

Walker assists firm clients in multiple aspects of commercial litigation, including motion practice, arguing motions in court, drafting appellate briefs, and all aspects of discovery. George's recent commercial litigation work has involved litigation arising out of the collapse of one of the largest Ponzi schemes in recent U.S. history, including banking litigation with substantial interplay between common law aiding and abetting theories of liability, and federal anti-money laundering statutes such as the Bank Secrecy Act, and Patriot Act. George's recent work also includes cases involving securities fraud, products liability issues, and UCC Article 2 contract litigation.

In the creditor's rights area, George has experience analyzing multiple types of bankruptcy clawback exposure, and preparing for the resolution of clawback issues through litigation, or settlement. George is also frequently involved in litigation involving the collateral for commercial real estate loans, such as contested foreclosure cases, the appointment of receivers, and set-off litigation.

In the labor and employment field, Walker has been involved in Fair Labor Standards Act litigation, and advised clients on various aspects of the Fair Labor Standards Act. He has also drafted employment agreements, covenants against competition, and has experience negotiating and litigating disputes over the same. Additionally, he has experience in the formation of new businesses, partnership agreements, and joint ventures.

Before joining Tripp Scott, Walker served as a summer associate with the firm. While in law school, he also worked as a law clerk at Tripp Scott, was a teaching assistant at the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, and performed pro bono work at Legal Aid Service of Broward County. Walker was also an editor for the Nova Southeastern Law Review. He has had articles published in the Nova Law Review and the Florida Journal of Technology Law and Policy.

Walker holds a law degree, summa cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center and graduated first in his class. He was a recipient of the Goodwin Fellowship at law school, and earned numerous academic awards, including 14 book awards, the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award, and the Student Bar Association Award for Academic Excellence. For his undergraduate studies, Walker attended American University in Washington, D.C. and received a bachelor's degree in international studies with an emphasis in U.S. foreign policy and a minor in history.
