Tripp Scott Names Three New Directors

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 25 – Tripp Scott today announced that Douglas H. Reynolds and Alexander D. Brown have been promoted to administrative director, and Richard L. Petrovich has been promoted to director. All three attorneys were previously with the firm.

Reynolds, who has been with the firm since 2011, focuses his practice on business litigation and marital and family law, in which areas he is certified by the Florida Bar. Reynolds has tried a multitude of jury and non-jury matters in both federal and state courts—and is equally adept practicing before appellate and trial courts.  Reynolds is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Brown joined the firm in 2005 and specializes in complex business litigation and intellectual property litigation. As trial counsel, he has managed issues ranging from insurance coverage disputes to false advertising claims, federal Lanham Act claims and patent, trademark and copyright infringement claims. Just last year,   Brown also prosecuted a trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement claim against a large corporation where he successfully proved that the defendant companies intentionally misappropriated his clients’ intellectual property.  That case resulted in a $26 million jury award that included $10 million in punitive damages.  Brown is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, and has been identified as one of Florida’s Super Lawyers over the past three consecutive years. Before joining Tripp Scott, Brown served as a staff attorney to the Honorable Melanie G. May, a judge with Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal.

Petrovich has been with Tripp Scott since 2007 and focuses his practice primarily on complex business litigation and creditors’ rights with an emphasis on real estate disputes.  He has successfully litigated several multi-million dollar commercial foreclosures throughout the state of Florida, and advocates for clients in every aspect of real estate litigation including commercial landlord tenant disputes, lien claims, purchase and sales agreements, valuation of property, appointment of receivers, and foreclosure of security agreements.  He has also gained appointment of receivers over many distressed multi-million dollar assets.
