Arlette Gomez is a litigation associate with Tripp Scott and focuses her practice on complex commercial and civil litigation, including business disputes, foreclosure actions, and high-exposure matters in both state and federal court proceedings. Arlette earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class, and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Political Science and English from the Florida State University.
Prior to joining Tripp Scott, Arlette practiced at regional litigation firms where she gained experience handling a broad range of complex litigation matters, including medical malpractice, insurance defense, general liability, immigration, and commercial disputes.
During law school, Arlette was actively involved in trial advocacy and legal scholarship. She served as President of the NSU Trial Association Honor Society and competed in three national trial competitions. She was also a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, where she was an intramural champion and received the Best Overall Advocate award. Arlette also served on the Nova Law Review and as a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law and Criminal Law. Additionally, Arlette served as a member of the President’s 64 and was honored as Nova Southeastern University Law Student of the Year by her peers and faculty.
Arlette received CALI Excellence for the Future Book Awards in Evidence, Intellectual Property, and Constitutional Law. Through her work with advocacy and community service, she was selected for the Broward County Hispanic Woman of Distinction “Up and Comer” Award. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of Barristers, an honor society recognizing excellence in written and oral advocacy.
Born in Cuba and raised in South Florida, Arlette is passionate about advocacy, mentorship, and serving the South Florida community.
