Tripp Scott's Chuck Tatelbaum to the Board of Directors of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation

Tripp Scott is pleased to announce that a firm director, Charles (Chuck) Tatelbaum, who chairs the firm’s creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice group, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation. Chuck is active in the arts community of South Florida and was previously awarded the Arts Hero Award by the Arts & Business Council of Miami. He currently serves as chair of the budget and finance committee of the Board of Directors of South Florida PBS.

One of America’s premier performing arts venues, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts is among the busiest theaters in the nation, presenting more than 1,000 performances to more than 600,000 patrons each year. Since opening its doors in 1991, the Center has provided access to the arts for broad segments of the community, creating award-winning arts education programs that serve more than 100,000 students a year (more than 3.9 million to date), showcasing more than 7,000 artists on its stages, donating more than $400,000 in tickets to more than 200 community organizations, and delivering more than $178 million in local economic impact in 2025.

The Broward Performing Arts Foundation was established in 1985 to deliver the required private funding to build the Center and create an endowment to sustain its operations. Over the years, the Foundation has successfully raised funds to support the Broward Center’s innovative and diverse programming, arts-in-education initiatives, community engagement activities, and capital projects. Since 2010, the Foundation has raised more than $100,000,000 to complete two capital projects: a $30+ million capital campaign to renovate and restore the iconic Parker Playhouse and a $60+ million Encore! campaign to renovate, renew, and revitalize the Broward Center. The Foundation provides membership opportunities to individuals, foundations, and corporations that support the Broward Center.
