Tripp Scott's Charles Tatelbaum elected Chair of the Board of Governors of the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University
Tripp Scott announces that Charles Tatelbaum, a director with the firm, was elected Chair of the Board of Governors of the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University.
Founded in 1974, the school was named for lawyer, banker, and philanthropist Shepard Broad, who was a member of the school's Board of Governors and who provided financial support. With degree and certificate programs for law students, paralegals, practicing lawyers, and professionals expanding their knowledge of the law, the NSU Shepard Broad College of Law equips its graduates with the skills they need for professional success. The law school has been rated 11th highest in the country for its legal writing program, 24th for its trial advocacy program and 53rd for its health care law program by US News & World Report. The law school’s graduates over the last 50 years have become the leaders of the legal profession throughout the country and many are esteemed members of the Florida trial and appellate judiciary.

For the past 59 years, Tatelbaum has focused his practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues, complex business litigation, Uniform Commercial Code transactions and lender liability litigation and other types of secured transactions, as well as domestic and international letters of credit.
He regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in transactions and insolvency situations, creditors’ committees, and throughout the United States, he represents business clients in complex business litigation, the defense of lender liability claims, all types of bankruptcy proceedings and products liability defense based on warranty. He also represents secured and unsecured creditors in distressed business transactions and litigation. He has also represented clients in Chapter 9 municipal bankruptcy proceedings and Chapter 15 foreign bankruptcy proceedings.
